The top 16 finishers from this association meet qualify
for the Region I championships. This Championship is for AAU members from any
association. Athletes must have 2012 AAU membership to compete and clubs must
have year 2012 club membership to compete in relays. Athletes without current
AAU cards must purchase them at the meet. |

Age divisions: Primary(P) born 2004 & after, Sub-bantam(SB)03,
Bantam(B)02, Sub-midget(SM)01, Midget(M)00, Sub-Youth(SY)99, Youth(Y)98,
Intermediate(I)96-97, Young Men/Women(YM/YW)94-8/11/93... Events: maximum 3 events Midget & Under and 4 events Y and
older including relay or relay alternate. 10am-10:30am Pick up materials at track and make scratches only / Athletes check in when event called. No event or athlete changes! Order of field events Pole vault and javelin will advance to regional but you
must pre-register for this meet in order to advance. The Region I pole vault
& javelin competition will be held at The AAU Area 1 National Qualifier, Veteran’s Memorial Stadium, New
Britain, CT The DT, SP, LJ, and TJ will be continuous competition events with
competition for all athletes over a 2 hour period. Athletes may make attempts
at any time during the indicated time period (4 attempts no finals). All
athletes must check in at the starting time but may make their attempts at
anytime during the period. When you report to make your attempts, you should
try to make all 4 attempts in rotation prior to leaving the event. All
attempts must be completed by the end of the 2 hour period. Order of running events (starting 11am) 4x100mR(F)/3000mRW(F)/400mH(F)/200mH(F)/3000m(F)/80mH(F)/100mH(F)/110mH(F)/ 100mD(S) / 4x800mR(F)/100mD(F)/400m(F)/ 1500m(F)/200m(F)/800m(F)/1500mRW(F)4x400mR(F) The general order will be girls then boys/young to old but if numbers are small there will be some combining of age and gender for events 800m or longer but awards will be separate. Note IB/YM 2000m steeple chase will advance directly to regional championships to be contested at 2pm 7/2 with the multi-event competition in Philipsburg, NJ but must be included on this application. Awards. Medals to the top 3 in individual and relay events. AAU Membership AAU MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED($12/yr) and TEAM MEMBERSHIP ($50/yr)IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN RELAYS.
