A lot goes into making a youth sports team a success.
Every one can play a part, kids, coaches, parents, as well as other
interested adults and local business.

Runners

- If
you are interested in joining the Jets please contact coaches
Curtis or Kimberly Jackman at 781 - 933 - 2644 (calling time:
after 8:00 pm.) The coach will arrange a tryout and depending
on your strengths (sprinting vs. cross country) and how far into
the season it is, you my be able to start right away or at the
beginning of the next season. Team Fees are $200 per year. (A
limited number of full or partial scholarships are available for
those who qualify, talk to coaches for more information)
Other expenses include the following:
Team uniform (one piece running suit) $38
Team Sweat Suit $60
USATF Membership registration fee $15 per year
Pair of Running Spikes (optional $40 - $50)

- Throughout
the year the Jets put on a number of Track meets and also do a
variety of fund raising activities. Volunteers generally consist
of the kids themselves and their parents. Although if you have
an interest in helping out in any way please contact coaches Curtis
or Kimberly Jackman at 781 - 933 - 2644 (calling time: after 8:00
pm)

- If
you've been to a youth track meet before then you already know,
if you havent I promises you its one of the most exciting,
inspiring and just plain fun events youll ever witness.
Be advised if you bring a young person to the event theyll
be hooked immediately. So check out the schedule of events an
come out and cheer these kids on.

- The
Cambridge Jets is completely nonprofit in the most traditional
sense. Its not just classified as nonprofit while administrators
pull salaries for themselves. Donations(Individual, Corporate,
and Product) are critical in keeping the team going.
Individual Individual cash donations are tax deductible
and will go into the Jets Account to be used for team expenses
and allow for more scholarships.
Corporate Your company or the company you work for can
also make a tax-deductible donation which will be used for team
expenses and allow for more scholarships.
Product Businesses can donate products, gift certificates
etc. to be used in fundraising activities. All proceeds will again
go towards team expenses and scholarships. For example
the folks at Nantucket Nectars donated Juice for the Jets to sell
at a fair which helped raise money to send the Jets to compete
at Disney Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, FL
